in their voice
We asked our participants to tell us what their lives have been like as they prepare for the baby. Here is what a few participants had to say:
I am nervous about the challenges that I will face being a new mom.
"My life has been very different and hectic preparing for the arrival of my baby girl. I am excited about just becoming a mom and to watch my baby grow up. I am nervous about the challenges that I will face being a new mom. My life has changed a lot from what I used to do for the better."

The only thing I'm nervous about is my baby's health.
"Life for me has been really good as I prepare for my baby. What I'm excited about is the fact that, it's my first child. The only thing I'm nervous about is my baby's health. My life has changed because I'm expecting a baby so I want a better future for myself and my baby."
~ Father-to-be at his first interview
I learned that deep inside if you put your mind to it; you could be a wonderful person and even a hero.
"Being a new parent has not really changed my life. It has actually made it better for me and my family. My fears are that I wouldn't be a good mother as my own mother was with me. I never knew that I could love someone so much as I love my daughter. I learned that deep inside if you put your mind to it; you could be a wonderful person and even a hero."

I learned that practice make perfect. You just got to work on it because nothing comes easy.
"This whole baby thing has changed my life. I am glad that my son is here and now that he's here, it's going to fix up my family issue. I learned that practice make perfect. You just got to work on it because nothing comes easy. My son has changed my life so much. Before, I used to do things without caring or thinking, but not now."
